Print Matrix is an intermediate level printmaking class that requires students to apply their knowledge of printmaking processes to the production of imagery as it relates to specific conceptual topics or applications of printmaking media. Specific attention is dedicated to consideration of the print matrices developed by students from which multiple identical, similar, or varied images can be produced. Students are encouraged to think not only of these matrices as means of producing prints, but also how printmaking itself can be the matrix that facilitates the production more extensive projects and investigations.
